Weather Stations by Columbia are manufactured for professional and commercial use. The Capricorn and Pegasus offer a wide range of sensor parameters, a powerful touch-screen digital weather console, weather software, wireless communications options, superior quality and customer service. The Capricorn 2000 can easily be vehicle mounted for weather station mobility. All of our weather stations, whether portable or stationary, have wireless capability utilizing ConnexLink 2.4GHz or 900MHz transceivers.

Orion Weather Stations: State-of-the-art, ultrasonice all-in-one sensor technology Capricorn 2000 Weather Station: Cost-effective fixed-base weather stations Capricorn 2000EX - Weather Station: Enhanced wind speed and direction sensor Pegasus Portable Weather Stations: Rapid-deployment portable weather station Vehicle Mount Weather Station: Capricorn 2000 configured for vehicles and incident command centers

The newest product line in our family of weather monitoring equipment, Orion Weather Stations take advantage of compact, multi-sensor technology to provide highly accurate and reliable meteorological data. Parameters include ultrasonic wind measurements and impact precipitation with no moving parts, as well as capacitive measurements for barometric pressure, temperature and humidity. State-of-the-art Orion weather technology is available in fixed-mount, vehicle-mount, and Nomad portable weather station configurations.

Our benchmark weather station is the Capricorn 2000. We offer a Vehicle-Mount Weather Station for mobile operations and the Pegasus FlyAway Kit for portable weather monitoring. All models are also available with the EX wind sensor, which meets federal EPA standards with enhanced wind direction resolution.

At the heart of each weather station is the Control Module, which houses the data logger, microprocessor, controller, and dual RS-232 computer interface ports. All sensors plug into the Control Module, where data is compiled and stored. Our standard digital sensor package includes indicators to record barometric pressure, temperature, relative humidity/dew point, wind direction, and wind speed. Optional sensors include up to three more temperature probes (including soil/water temperature), a tipping bucket rain gauge, and a solar radiation pyranometer. All sensors are calibrated for accuracy and precision-engineered for use in harsh weather extremes.

Our Vehicle-Mount Weather Station provides weather monitoring for mobile Command Post operations. Internal system components are permanently mounted in the vehicle. The exterior sensor mast is detachable for transportation storage, then simply clicks into place. The entire system is operational in minutes to provide critical weather data where and when it is needed.

The Pegasus FlyAway Kit is a rapid-deployment, portable weather station -- the optimal system to mitigate critical weather conditions for such applications as fire, emergency management, HazMat, and disaster operations. Battery power, wireless communications, and a telescoping tripod mast make this a complete end-to-end solution for weather monitoring anywhere.

Monitoring options for Capricorn and Pegasus weather stations include our exclusive programmable Digital Weather Display Console with touch-screen technology and our proprietary WeatherMaster 2000 software in addition to off-the-shelf commercial weather software.

WeatherMaster 2000 offers computer weather monitoring with automated Cameo/Aloha interface, multi-station networking, and quick-north orientation calculation for wind direction readings. WeatherMaster can also be custom-engineered to meet specific user requirements.

We back all our weather stations with a two-year warranty, free technical assistance, and friendly customer service.
